Blood Moon #2 (2016)
Oil on board
45.0cm x 40.8cm
Doing things with friends will always help me create memories. We went out to the lighthouse late at night to watch the Blood Moon. It was a calm night, clear skies. Sometimes it’s far too easy to forget the beauty of the place you live until you actually stop to look.
Memories change and different things are clearer than others like colours, forms, emotions. This painting works with multiple tones and temperatures to create a sense of dimension, bringing parts forward and pushing others back. The application of paint also gives a sense of being unfocused.
