Painting: The Other End

A calming memory of the side of my grandparent’s living room where my sister and I played and my Granddad would sit and read. There are certain objects that dominate the memory and I see these as what hold the most importance in that. They lead to other moments and emotions so they hold too much in themselves to blend into the background. Peers describe this as calming but the more I think about it, the more it become melancholy to me.
